Dear Friends,
With a great deal of
thought, we have concluded
that we must suspend
publication of
Rock & Sling
pending the procurement of
long-term stable funding.
Over the last 5 years, we
have defied the odds in
keeping a non-profit
literary journal afloat.
With rising printing and
postage costs, we are simply
unable to keep up with the
expenses required to publish
Rock & Sling.
Please know that we have
been wise stewards of the
money entrusted to us. Funds
from subscriptions and
single copy sales, along
with donations and
substantial investments of
the editors’ personal funds,
have been used solely to pay
for printing, postage, and
other basic expenses. All
our editors have donated all
of their time and have not
received any monetary
compensation.
It is our hope that during
this hiatus, a sustainable
source of funding will
become available, and we
regret that we are unable to
continue supporting
Rock & Sling from
our personal and limited
incomes.
Subscribers who have issues
remaining on their
subscriptions have received
a CD of all our back issues.
They have been given the
opportunity to discuss
further options if this is
not adequate compensation
for issues not received.

The encouragement of you—our
readers, subscribers, and
contributors—has
meant everything to us.
Please know that we have not
made this decision lightly
and we truly hope that
Rock & Sling will
rise again.
